Memorandum dated 1 May 1943, regarding requests for autographs and photographs of President Douglas Hyde. The memorandum is concerned that there was a 'danger of imparting cheapness to the President's signature' in issuing autographs, while photographs might convey the impression that 'the holder is a personal friend of the President'.
