They consist of administrative files of the D\u00e1il \u00c9ireann Secretariat. The files contain original and copy correspondence, primarily between Diarmuid O\u0301 hE\u0301igeartaigh, Secretary to D\u00e1il \u00c9ireann, and members of the D\u00e1il \u00c9ireann cabinet, as well as members of the D\u00e1il. The files contain documents generated by the functioning of the administrative apparatus established in the aftermath of the 1918 general election to support the activities of the D\u00e1il \u00c9ireann government.
