The National Ploughing Championships, 17–19 September
Mark your calendars for the National Ploughing Championships taking place in Ratheniska, county Laois from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 September. We’ll be showcasing the travelling version of our successful exhibition “Society & State – Ireland Through Its Records” at the Culture | Creativity | Archaeology | Sport Marquee. Visit us at Block 3, Row 12, Stand 203 and take a trip through Ireland’s records!
Culture Night, 20 September
On Culture Night/Friday 20 September, we invite you to a special extended opening of the National Archives from 5pm to 9pm. A highlight of the evening will be a talk on “Society & State – 1920s Ireland Through Its Records” by Dr John Gibney in our Reading Room at 6pm.
