Reading Room closures and Media Preview week

Please note the following changes to our Reading Room and Genealogy Advisory Service schedule:

Friday, 28 November 2025 3:30 pm

The Reading Room will close early to facilitate essential electrical works

All document requests must be submitted by 2:30 pm to allow researcher time to review them

Monday, 1 December – Friday, 5 December 2025

The Reading Room and Genealogy Advisory Service will be closed to the public for the annual Media Preview of files for release in 2026

Monday, 8 December

Normal service resumes at 10 am, with both the Reading Room and the Genealogy Advisory Service open to the public

Wednesday 10 December

The Reading Room will open at the slightly later time of 11 am
