About the role
Based at the National Archives headquarters on Bishop Street, Dublin 8, the Archivist will support the long‑term preservation and management of records dating from the 13th century to the present day. Reporting to a Senior Archivist, key duties will include:
- The professional preservation and processing of records created by central government and State bodies.
- Facilitating public access to historical and administrative archives.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and upholding best practice in archival standards.
