How to order copies online

 

You can request copies of documents from our reprographic unit using the form on this page.

 

You’ll need to provide us with the following details:

  • Name of the document
  • Reference code for the document
  • Email address for digital copies
  • Postal address for hard copies

 

Fees

 

There is a fee for this service, which covers the cost of copying and processing. Please see the summary notice of fees for more information.

 

1–5 pages, A4/A3 €15.00
6–10 pages, A4/A3 €20.00
11–20 pages, A4/A3 €30.00
21–30 pages, A4/A3 €40.00
31–40 pages, A4/A3 €50.00
41–50 pages, A4/A3 €60.00
For orders more than 50 pages, price per each additional page €1.00

 

Copying documents in the Reading Room

 

Researchers working in the National Archives Reading Room can use our instant copying service. Copies are made available straight away, so you can keep researching without delay. Bring the document to our staff, who will help you with the copying.

 

Fees

 

A small fee applies for each copy made.

Certified copies

 

You can order certified copies of documents for legal purposes.

Limitations to copying documents

 

Not all items may be copied. Some documents are too fragile or large to be copied without risking damage. Our staff will assess the condition of the items you have requested and advise you on the best way to proceed.

Our team is available to answer any questions you may have about getting copies of documents. This ensures that you have the information you need while preserving the integrity of our collections.

How we use your data

The National Archives is committed to protecting your personal data. We retain your information only as long as necessary for its intended purpose. Once no longer needed, it will be securely destroyed in accordance with the Department of Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport's policy.
