Appointments to the National Archives Advisory Council
The Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport has launched a campaign to appoint 10 members, including a Chairperson, to the National Archives Advisory Council.
Established under the National Archives Act 1986, the Council advises the Minister on all matters relating to archives and their use by the public. It plays an important national role in championing the value of records, supporting archival practice, and promoting awareness of archival heritage.
Appointments are made through an open process managed by the Public Appointments Service. Full details of the roles, required experience, and application process can be viewed here
